Finally, there is hiking guide covering the tri-state area encompassing the Southern Berkshires. This well researched and designed guide not only provides essential information for the hike itself, but also historical and cultural perspective. What differentiates this book is that, along with well known and popular hiking destinations, many lesser known, interesting, and unique (and often overlooked) places have been included. Kudos from a Berkshire native, current resident, and avid hiker.
